Subject: Building with Visual Studio Express 2012
Just wanted to let everyone know that it is possible to build the library's and C# apps (Maybe VB and VC as well haven't tried) with the free visual studio express 2012.

I followed these instructions to add the MFC (free download from Microsoft) to the Express edition

http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/30439/How-to-compile-MFC-code-in-Visual-C-Express

And here is how to add the include and library directories to default with the newer visual studio

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vcgeneral/thread/a494abb8-3561-4ebe-9eb0-6f644a679862/

Hope this helps some people out.

Dave,

Are you able to build the KMotion DLLs - KMotionDLL.dll, GCodeInterpreter.dll, etc.?

If so, then I would move to 2012 Express from VS2008.

Yes, I have built these and the .net DLL's as well

There was a few small changes in the project properties, but nothing major.
